Social Status and Nike to Reintroduce the Mac Attack
Featuring three tear-away colorways.

Earlier this month, a first look at the Nike Mac Attack’s return surfaced. Its first retro appearance, the shoe is best known for being tennis star John McEnroe’s go-to with its first launch hitting the market in 1984. Aside from a return to general releases, Nike looks to have more up its sleeve as three collaborative Social Status colorways have been revealed courtesy of the NBA’s best-known sneakerhead — P.J. Tucker.
Each of the three looks don an off-white appearance with pops of color around the heel as well as at the Swooshes and rubber outsole. These accents range from a satin green to denim blue to a clean black. Adding some flair, the Swooshes and colored heel segments are constructed with tear-away layers. With wear — or some crafty customizing — another color and texture appears. Green turns to yellow, dark blue goes to light blue and black and white trade places across the three presentations. At the heel, this results in retro “NIKE” text being replaced by Social Status’ logo.
No news regarding the launch of Social Status’ Nike Mac Attack collaboration — as well as the silhouette’s general release return — has popped up just yet. Stay tuned for more information as we expect official images and a release date to arrive in the coming months.
