Update: Following an early rumor, the April Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low has appeared courtesy of sneaker leaker MasterChefIan. As expected, its “Hyper Royal”-esque overlays are joined by chrome detailing throughout. April’s chrome rose design also lands at the translucent outsole while “April” text rests at the lateral heel. Stay tuned for an official announcement from April and Nike SB as this pair’s launch is expected to take place this summer.

Original Story: When it comes to collaborations, Nike SB is no stranger to offering up its treasured SB Dunk series. Working most often with skate brands and shops, these releases often end up as some of the shoe’s most sought-after pairs. Looking ahead at 2023’s expected launches, there’s a new partnership to keep an eye on — an April Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low. Nike is joining forces with the Shane O’Neill-founded brand for the first time as Shane continues his work with the Swoosh after previously launching his own SB silhouette, the SB Shane.

A mockup created by JF Grails depicts what to expect from the link up as the hotter-than-ever sneaker continues its triumphant run. Overlays reminiscent of 2021’s Air Jordan 1 “Hyper Royal” are joined by chrome at the Swooshes and heel’s April branding. Webbed paneling in white is joined by a crisp white toe box while any icy translucent outsole is expected to carry April’s chrome rose design that previously landed on a skateboard deck release. Adding to the collaboration, a friends and family exclusive is rumored to be releasing to VIPs in purple with a chrome rose heel tab.

While we await a first look and release information regarding the April Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low, it’s likely to drop later this year via Nike and select skate shops.
