First Look at the fragment design x Nike Zoom Spiridon
Presented in a navy colorway with subtle “FRGMT” branding at the outsole and heel tab.
Godfather of streetwear Hiroshi Fujiwara has operated as a purveyor of collaborations via his fragment design label for decades. Notably, his work with Nike has been adored by the masses with projects such as the duo’s Air Jordan 1s garnering incredible demand. Earlier this year, the duo connected with CLOT for a special Dunk Low. Now, it looks to have another project on the way — reworking Nike’s Zoom Spiridon from 1997.
It has been several years since the Zoom Spiridon has held a notable market presence, with its Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 iteration popping up throughout 2020. However, it may be playing a key role in Nike’s strategy for 2024 as a fragment design-branded pair has surfaced. The pair combines navy and white across its synthetic and suede build as the shoe’s traditional linework at the white midsole makes a return. The duo’s co-branding remains limited to “FRGMT” hits at the outsole and the heel tab of the right shoe.
At the time of writing, no news from fragment design nor Nike has confirmed any details regarding their upcoming collaboration on the Zoom Spiridon. Stay tuned for updates as we expect more info to surface in the coming months with the pair arriving in the future via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
