First-look images of ROA and fragment design‘s collaborative Andreas boot have surfaced. Arriving as a rugged reinterpretation of ROA’s technical outdoor silhouette through Hiroshi Fujiwara’s minimalist lens, the boots feature a leather upper with a heel counter that’s partially composed of suede. Serving as a reunion following their 2017 three-way project with 1017 ALYX 9SM, this newly revealed silhouette appears to be equipped with added protection and longevity; a robust black rubber reinforcement wraps around the toe box, cementing the shoe’s outdoor roots while maintaining a sleek, stealthy profile.
Breaking up the monochromatic upper, the boot incorporates metallic lace hooks that introduce a slight industrial edge to the traditional hiking lacing system.
