Following ski-ready deliveries from Louis Vuitton and FENDI earlier this month, Balenciaga has lifted the veil on its inaugural collection for the slopes. The skiwear line, which launches in mid-November, includes a vast range of winter sport products, as well as ready-to-wear, accessories, equipment and gear.

Balenciaga’s signature appears across a range of utilitarian athletic objects, such as snowboards, skis, helmets and poles for downhill, cross-skiing and hiking. Notably, the snowboards and skis are available in two sizes, and both front the athletic “B” logo on the nose of their mirrored Titanel topsheet.

Outerwear, meanwhile, receives a water-repellent finish, with a bevy of pieces available in black, grey and red colorways. Among the standouts, the 3B Sports Icon Ski Parka is composed of technical ripstop with a high stand-up collar, a drawstring hood and ample pockets.

Additionally, the line houses a number of thermal pieces, including hoodies and half-zip tops in fabrics including heavy molleton, knits, fisherman-ribbed wool and mink-like faux fur. These are complemented by padded gloves that can be attached to the collection’s jackets, as well as beanies, facemasks, and scarves donning a sporty iteration of the Balenciaga motif.

Cargo pants, made with an identical ripstop textile, feature integrated snow skirts with high-end ventilation systems, while five-pocket ski pants appear in bonded stretch nylon. Fleece-lined jeans boast a waterproof outer layer for a more casual on- and off-slope look.

In footwear, Balenciaga reveals the Alaska Boot, which features outsized proportions and a foamy construction, with nylon, leather and faux fur options. The 3XL Ski Sneaker, which employs a water-resistant interior lining and an attachable spiked crampon, rounds out the lineup.

Balenciaga’s first-ever skiwear collection will launch on November 15, and its available for pre-order now on the brand’s webstore. Prices range from $195 USD to $6,290 USD. Take a closer look at the range in the gallery above.

In more fashion news, Arc’Teryx will open its first-ever archive exhibition in Shibuya, Tokyo.
