A-COLD-WALL* Teases Upcoming Converse Chuck 70 Hi Collaborations
Samuel Ross reworks the classic model with translucent toe caps and midsoles.

Samuel Ross has established himself as a household name within the realm of streetwear through his A-COLD-WALL* imprint. And his unique perspective on elevated style and technical design language has been called upon for various sneaker collaborations with the likes of Converse, Dr. Martens and more, and it appears that he’s set to reconnect with Converse for a two-pronged Converse Chuck 70 Hi collection.
Hiroshi Fujiwara — founder of imprint fragment design — got his pairs early and was first to tease the capsule. The overall shape of the classic silhouette has been kept intact, but Ross has spruced it up with his own flair. A-COLD-WALL* branding arrives in two forms: the first being an oversized block stamped beneath the collars while the second shows up in the form of the brand’s acronym adjacent to a set of numbers that rest beneath the midsoles. In addition, the midsoles have been altered with translucent materials and match up with the toe caps. A duo of colorways are included in the launch, one being a blend of cream and gray hues while the other is dialed to a charcoal gray and cream palette.
More information regarding its official release date will likely turn up sometime during the FW22 season.
For other news, Sean Pablos’s Converse One Star Pro collaboration was recently announced.
