Samuel Ross and his A-COLD-WALL* imprint have connected with Converse and the wider Nike family a handful of times in recent years. Recently, this included the introduction of the futuristic Sponge Crater. Now, the duo takes a step back in favor of revisiting a classic with two minimalist takes on the Chuck 70.
First teased last month, the A-COLD-WALL* x Converse Chuck 70 features an iconic silhouette with signature A-COLD-WALL* styling. “Silver Birch” and “Pavement” colors serve as the primary hues of each respective colorway with each featuring the other’s shade as an accent. Key detailing of both pairs includes a canvas upper with reflective film co-branding at the lateral, a translucent sole unit and toecap and additional collaborative branding at the upper’s lateral and sockliner. Lastly, complementary apparel is included in the collection with a T-Shirt carrying lowkey branding from each on the front and a “Pavement” colored strip at the left arm and back with additional mini logos. French terry shorts in the collection’s shade of off-white carries similar linework and small branding elements to complete the duo’s offerings this time around.
Release for the A-COLD-WALL* x Converse Chuck 70 colorways and accompanying apparel is set for October 6 via Nike and select retailers. Prices are set at $110 USD for a pair of the Chuck 70s, $60 USD for the T-Shirt and $80 USD for the shorts. Take an official look at the footwear above and a glance at the complete collection below.
