Awake NY Reconnects With ASICS for a GEL-LYTE III Collection
Angelo Baque and his crew have prepared four colorways.
In September 2021, ASICS tapped Angelo Baque to helm its collaborative initiatives, and one aspect of this partnership allows the designer to create special colorways and capsules alongside his own Awake NY brand. And after working on a GEL-KAYANO Trainer 21 team-up, the duo has reconvened to produce an assortment of GEL-LYTE IIIs, all of which have been officially announced by the streetwear label.
There are four entries in this range, three of them making use of bold and bright color schemes while the last offering hones in on a grayscale motif. One element that every pair has in common is that the tiger stripes have been given a translucent build. In case you wanted to spruce up your rotation with more vividness, you have the option of copping a green and white pair, a sky blue and yellow iteration or a pink and black installment. The final pair alternates between black panels and cracked patterns on the more understated side of the spectrum.
