Telfar is Opening a New York Flagship Store This Year
Announced by Liberian-American designer, Telfar Clemens.
During a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, Telfar Clemens revealed that Telfar will be opening its first-ever flagship store later this year.
Speaking to Charlamagne tha God, Angela Yee and DJ Envy, during the 30-minute conversation the Liberian-American designer discussed creating genderless clothing, connecting With Solange Knowles, building Telfar and the opening of a physical store.
Clemens shared that the label will be setting up its brick-and-mortar location in New York City. “There is one coming, we’re opening a store this year in New York City. We’re still deciding where that’s going to be. I don’t want to say too much about it but it’s opening this year.”
Founded back in 2005, the New York-based label has seen unprecedented success in recent years largely due to the popularity of its Shopping Bags designs. The success even pushed it to launch its Bag Security Program to deal with the demand for the sought-after styles.
