Ann Demeulemeester has opened a new Paris boutique inside the Jardin du Palais Royal, placing its latest flagship within one of the city’s most historic settings. The 150-square-meter space is the house’s second retail debut this year, arriving months after its Milan store at Via Monte Napoleone 22, and it pushes forward a plan to put down permanent roots in fashion’s key cities.
Inside, the boutique brings every category under one roof. Menswear and womenswear share the floor with footwear, accessories and the house’s tableware collection for Serax, turning the store into a single destination where each facet of the brand sits side by side. To mark the occasion, the brand has produced a limited-edition shirt that revisits one of the label’s signature designs, recasting it as a collectible edition.
From a design perspective, the interiors juxtapose grand scale with a sense of closeness. The nearly grayscale space houses a masterclass in minimalist design. Materials were selected for their tactile nature, and bespoke furniture and lighting complete the aesthetic. Every architectural choice is tuned to let the garments and the space converse, reinforcing the craft-first, independent spirit that Ann Demeulemeester has always protected.
The opening is part of a tightly edited flagship plan that continues in 2027 with a London store, a Tokyo flagship and a shop-in-shop at Shanghai’s Plaza 66.
