Ann Demeulemeester has officially opened its doors in Milan, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s global expansion under the creative direction of Stefano Gallici. Located at Via Monte Napoleone 22, the new boutique is situated within a former industrial building, and is only the second mono-brand store for the house alongside its historic Antwerp flagship. The space serves as a physical manifestation of the brand’s “poetic and measured” identity, blending fashion, art, and architecture into a singular immersive experience.
Designed by the architectural firm Storagemilano, the boutique spans 214 square meters across two meticulously curated levels. The interior architecture prioritizes raw materiality, featuring walls restored to their original state and left bare to highlight natural tones. This organic texture is contrasted by a black Italian herringbone wood floor, a geometric motif that is mirrored in the design of the ceilings to create a rhythmic, calibrated visual flow throughout the two main rooms. A central staircase connects these areas to an exclusive VIP Room on the upper floor.
The aesthetic remains strictly muted, utilizing a palette of black, white, and gray to maintain the maison’s visual identity. Materials like black oak, oxidized zinc, and raw plaster are softened by large white canvases and black linen drapery. Custom furnishings are highlighted by natural light that filters through four skylights. The space serves as the backdrop for the launch of Gallici’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, which continues to explore the brand’s heritage through the lenses of punk rock, indie, and garage.
