Wear a Smiley on Your Sleeve With Raf Simons' Latest Collaboration
Now available at HBX.

Raf Simons is one of the busiest people in the fashion industry, having produced a Fred Perry collaboration and the FW22 menswear collection for Prada in 2022 already, and his latest collaboration shows no signs of him slowing down. This is the Smiley x Raf Simons drop, a capsule centered around the iconic and emblematic symbol of universal joy and positivity.
Simons teased the collaboration last month, stating: “I love the optimism Smiley projects. I love the focus on a brighter and better future.” Naturally, this has been eloquently translated into a number of Simons staples, ranging from his signature denim shirt to the cropped sweater and more.
That shirt is a particular standout, finished in black denim before being adorned with a leather chest patch that combines his “RS” logo with the Smiley motif. The cropped jumper is also served in black, but this time features the Smiley logo in red on the left arm and a small badge echoing the design of the shirt’s patch.
The capsule is tinged with considered references throughout, with a washed red crewneck harking back to the designer’s first-ever runway show in FW97 as it reads “Youngsville University” intersected with Smiley branding. Rounding out the drop is a bomber jacket, a pair of jeans, and a tote bag all injected with dual-branding.
