Aston Martin's DBX707 Is the World's Most Powerful Luxury SUV

British automotive giant Aston Martin is known around the globe for its formidable supercars and GTs, but things changed when it started to produce the DBX in 2020. Now, the marque has taken the SUV to the next level, presenting the DBX707.

Dubbed as the world’s most powerful luxury SUV, the DBX707 packs a twin-turbocharged four-liter V8 that offers 707PS and 900Nm of torque, equating to an increase of 157PS and 200Nm over the standard DBX. The result, when paired with a new nine-speed automatic gearbox, is 0-62 MPH in 3.3 seconds, and this speed is echoed by the car’s upgraded styling.

As per the brand’s press release, “Every area of the car has been enhanced to boost performance, intensify driving pleasure and amplify its on-road presence.” Wheels now come in at 22” as standard and optional 23” rims are available, while a new electronic limited-slip rear differential aids the car’s dynamics and steering more than ever before, making this arguably the best-handling sports-focused SUV ever.

Aesthetical upgrades are more than just visual, as they aid the car’s newfound performance. For example, a larger front grille and an all-new design of daytime running lights, complete with new air intakes and brake cooling ducts, plus a new front splitter profile, come together to improve downforce and turning-in capabilities. At the rear, you’ll find a new lip spoiler on the roof wing to reduce lift and increase high-speed stability, as well as an enlarged twin rear diffuser that meets with the larger quad exhaust system.

Inside you’ll be treated to a host of DBX707-exclusive touches, from the sports seats to a revised driver control section housing new drive mode selections, as well as options for the suspension mode, ESP, manual gear selection mode, and the exhaust valve-opening button.

For now, this is everything the car world knows about the Aston Martin DBX707. No price has been revealed, but expect it to be a fair chunk more than the stock car’s $177,000 USD asking price. DBX707 production is due to commence in Q1 of 2022 and first deliveries are scheduled to begin in early Q2 2022.
