Tega Akinola and APOC Store have released a series of upycled Nike and The North Face bags.

Crafted from reworked Nike and The North Face apparel, the young designer’s sustainable bags arrive in soft, fleeced texture and is offered a variety of bright and bold hues ranging from red to pink, orange, green, blue, purple and red. Each offering features a different silhouette, with the branding of Nike or The North Face present in front.

Speaking to Vogue UK, Akinola shared, “It was just the idea of buying secondhand things and making them new. When I realized that I could help contribute or help inspire people to be more consciously aware of what they buy and why they buy it, I started to hone that a little bit more … but if everyone does something small, it helps towards being more sustainable in fashion.”

Tega Akinola’s upcycled fleece bags are available now on the APOC Store website for £400 GBP (approximately $540 USD).

Elsewhere in fashion, Kim Kardashian was named the new face of Balenciaga.
