Working with architecture name OMA, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons reimagined the Deposito of the Fondazione Prada into a stage for the exhibition of Prada‘s Fall/Winter 2022 men’s collection. Dubbed “Body of Work,” the seasonal range investigates “theater and cinema as mirrors of reality.”

“Work is a state of reality – a vital component of life. Into the idealized, fantasized aesthetic vernacular of the fashion show, a reality interrupts.”

Exploring a new facet of reality, Hollywood stars Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Asa Butterfield, Jeff Goldblum, Damson Idris, Kyle MacLachlan, Tom Mercier, Jaden Michael, Louis Partridge, Ashton Sanders and Filippo Scotti were cast to walk the “representation of a heightened actuality.”

Through elegance and sophistication, a sense of uniforming leads the FW22 collection, with pragmatic clothing rendered in leather and silk tech. Sartorial tailoring lends an air of importance, enhancing the design of knitwear, bomber jackets and parkas. The formalizing of wares for an expression of modernism of a proud structure through defined shape and form. Emphasized shoulder and waist lines, and methodical fabrication continue the elevation of uniform.
