All year long Nike has made sure to keep the celebration of the Air Force 1’s 40th anniversary going. Countless releases have launched and the Swoosh continues this with a retro-inspired look on the Air Force 1 Mid. Joining the Air Trainer 1, a purple “Tokyo 2003” colorway has been prepared for the fall.

This thematic release presents the sneaker in its typical shape and color distribution with a reptilian twist. Purple crocodile leather overlays find themselves featured on the mudguard, lacing system, iconic Air Force 1 Mid strap and heel counter. A matching purple in a smooth leather can be spotted at the Swooshes and Nike Air branded heel tab while a white base provides contrast to the look. A “Sail” sole unit accompanies the look in its traditional stitched midsole and rubber outsole combo. Thematic detailing includes a “TYO 03” badge embossed at the lateral heel and on a custom hangtag, completing this colorway.

Look for the Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Tokyo 2003” to hit shelves in the coming weeks via Nike and select retailers at a price of $130 USD.
