Rising hiking-meets-high-fashion hybrid brand ROA has just launched their debut apparel ready-to-wear collection for Fall/Winter 2022.

ROA was born in 2015 as an idea between Slam Jam’s creative team and technical footwear designer Maurizio Quaglia. Since then, the team, led by the brand’s creative director, Patrick Stangbye, has delivered some of the most on-point hiking footwear to date – having collaborated with the likes of Our Legacy and Brain Dead and seen on the feet of Drake and Playboi Carti.

The cutting-edge materials, high-quality Italian construction, and future-face aesthetics seen in the brand’s footwear offering have now been applied to the brand’s inaugural apparel line, which delivers technical outerwear pieces that – just like all good gorpcore – can easily be flexed in everyday life.

All made in Italy, ROA’s FW22 range experiments in patterns, cuts, and materials that arrive with a premium look and quality. Silhouettes include down jackets, cozy fleeces, overshirts, straight-fitted shorts, technical pants, and cotton T-shirts, which arrive with details like hidden pockets, anatomical sleeves, and bespoke knee articulations.

Highlights include sweaters that feature a variety of contrasting knit panels in different textural weaves as well as ROA’s logo knit in contrast jacquard at the hem, alongside ROA’s Shiny Down Jacket, which features two integrated chest pockets and two waist pockets that ensure the jacket has more than enough storage for outdoor activity in the coldest of conditions. Elsewhere, the brand’s new windbreaker features an integrated pocket detail on both the chest and the back allowing for storage capacity for outdoor activities, without creating additional bulk.

In addition to the new apparel collection, the ROA shoe selection, which features the brand’s staple Katharina and Andreas silhouettes, arrives alongside the new ‘Slip On’, which offers an easily wearable alternative to the brand’s core hiking models.

You can take a closer look at ROA’s FW22 collection above and it is available now on the brand’s official website.
