CHAANCE’s SS23 Collection Brings Out the Bright Side of California
Channeling a cool streetwear aesthetic for next season.
The peculiar thing about the steadily rising, Korean streetwear brand CHAANCE is that its core is rooted in ‘90s sportswear with a focus on high-end street style. For Spring/Summer 2023, the brand is figuratively taking it to the streets with a new collection that brings out the bright side of Los Angeles, California.
Channeling a cool streetwear aesthetic for next season, the collection features technical fabric shorts, jackets, pullovers and jumpsuits for men and women. Dubbed “training wear” the fabrications are made with an ultra-lightweight polypropylene fluidity, and arrive in colorways of pink, charcoal, orange and blue.
Commenting on the brand’s ethos and design approach for SS23, CHAANCE founders collectively shared: “We were inspired by Los Angeles because it is the city where you see multi-cultural factors blend into a unique fashion style. LA is the land of chance and we take this chance, turning it into CHAANCE.”
“The city’s airy, vivid and somewhat tropical colors taken from the LA breeze are reflected in the fabrics that are incorporated into each garment in this collection. These elements are shown through movement from dancers expressing LA Cool, defined by the three F’s – Freedom, Flame and Fashion,” they added.

Elsewhere in California style, LA Fashion Week SS23 provided visibility and opportunity for established (and emerging) designers.
