2022 marks the 25th year of business in China for Jordan Brand. Its 1997 opening year came at a time when the Air Jordan 12 was still new to shelves, thus it having a special connection to the country. Over the years, Jordan Brand has nodded to this with the silhouette’s inclusion in Chinese New Year celebrations for 2017 and 2019. In addition, the low-top version of the Air Jordan 12 was spotted as part of the “25 Years in China” collection earlier this year.

Now, joining the Air Jordan 12 Low, Jordan Zion 2 and Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT, the Air Jordan 12 joins the “25 Years in China” collection with another “Taxi”-esque color scheme. Leather covers the entirety of this colorway’s upper as black mudguards pair with a white base. A burnt red appears on the tongue while “Taxi” yellow hits the rubber outsole, midsole and heel. A “25 Years in China” heel tab arrives on the right shoe alongside a sockliner featuring sketches of the shoe.

Release for this Air Jordan 12 entry in Jordan Brand’s “25 Year in China” collection is expected to take place this November via Nike and select retailers priced at $200 USD.

In case you missed it, another “Taxi”-inspired look has popped up with a “Black Taxi” take on the Jordan Dub Zero.
