Following a clever collaboration with the LA Dodgers in April, Los Angeles streetwear label Born X Raised has partnered with the LA Lakers for a capsule collection celebrating the opening of the 2022-2023 NBA season.

A Venice native himself, the imprint’s founder, Chris Printup, a.k.a. Spanto, has deep roots in the City of Angels’ culture and community; so it’s only natural that he’s now crafted multiple apparel collections dedicated to his hometown teams. For this latest range, Born X Raised has designed a bevy of dual-stamped designs on a blue and white color palette, championing the highest tier of basketball and sportsmanship.

Among the line, there’s a special-edition hoodie featuring a new emblem, which fuses the fashion brand’s gothic lettering and the basketball team’s stacked iconography, just above the signature Lakers logo on its back. The front dons a miniature version of the aforementioned graphic, and both entities’ branding runs down both arms. T-shirts follow a similar layout with front and back stamps, utilizing identical motifs to get their point across. And rounding out the range, three New Era caps commemorate the collaboration in bold writing.

Born X Raised’s LA Lakers collection officially launches on Thursday, October 20, on the brand’s website. Take a look at the honorary range in the gallery above.

In more fashion news, Levi’s has tapped Sami Miró Vintage for an exclusive upcycled collection.
