The Converse Chuck 70 Utility "Steel/Egret" Is Now Available
A functional silhouette originally designed by Kim Jones.
Initially released as a Converse x Kim Jones collaboration, the Chuck 70 Utility is now seen in “Steel/Egret” for its second GR colorway following a “String/Egret” version released last month. “The design approach for the shoe was very straightforward — taking a very classic shoe and then almost encasing it in something to protect it,” said Kim Jones.
The uppers are dressed in steel blue canvas with the addition of a translucent cage that runs along the laterals over the eyestays and All Star ankle patch. A wavy rubber overlay sits above classic white midsoles which feature two solid black accent lines and a bumper banner. Additional details include rounded laces, contrasting metallic and transparent eyelets, and OrthoLite cushioning for extra comfort.
The Hybrid Function Chuck 70 Utility “Steel/Egret” is now available on the Converse website for $140 USD.
