'Space Jam: A New Legacy' Projected to Beat 'Black Widow' at Weekend Box Office
“Hi Haters,” LeBron James wrote on Twitter.
Space Jam: A New Legacy is expected to overtake Black Widow at the weekend box office.
According to reports, the surprising projection sees A New Legacy earning a North American three-day gross of $32 million USD while Black Widow could make $24.6 million USD within the same time frame. The LeBron James-led film made $13.1 million USD from a total of 3,965 locations on July 16, marking the biggest pandemic debut for Warner Bros.
Meanwhile, the Marvel and Disney film earned $8 million USD on July 16, experiencing an 80 percent decline in ticket sales. If the weekend box office projections are correct, Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh‘s film will earn a total of $130.3 million USD so far.
James took to Twitter to celebrate the news, tweeting a link to a report with a cheeky caption that reads, “Hi Haters!”
