Reebok Premier Road Modern "Dark Hyper" Is Inspired by Nighttime Running
More specifically, the fluorescent running gear that’s often worn for a late-night run.
Reebok‘s Premier Road Modern is big, bold and boisterous. It uses its sizable build and swaths of detail to communicate a retro-futuristic design ethos that encapsulates the entire Road Modern line, and it’s done everything from serve as the centerpiece of a desirable KANGHYUK collaboration to dress itself in metallic silver. Now, it’s set to release in a new “Dark Hyper” colorway with a unique inspiration: nighttime running.
Drawing from the hi-vis tones and textures of the garments runners often wear during their nighttime jaunts, the “Dark Hyper” uses sky blue, bright yellow and smoky black atop its sculpted build. Pieces of note include an abstract, raised take on Reebok’s Vector logo on the midfoot overlay — under which sits a standard printed Vector graphic — blocky neoprene tongues and toeboxes, bold, armor-like silver heel pieces and swooping eyestays. Down below, two-tone blue and black DMX Ride midsoles complete the look.
The Reebok Premier Road Modern “Dark Hyper” is available now at Reebok’s network of APAC stockists and will arrive on the Reebok webstore in the US come August 1. Its MSRP is set at an even $200 USD.
