Luca Werner Follows Skateboarders Around Mallorca in Short Film for RIMOWA

German photographer and filmmaker Luca Werner journeyed to the island of Mallorca to shoot a short film for RIMOWA’s New Horizons series, premiering today exclusively on HYPEBEAST.
Over the course of the week-long trip, the Munich-based creative followed a group of his friends as they roamed the island via skateboard, hung out on secluded beaches and swam among the waves in the ocean.
The result is an intimate video that captures the simple moments of friendship and day-to-day life while on a summer holiday. Carefree and spontaneous, Werner wanted to document the “in-between moments that really make a trip.”
New Horizons celebrates the sense of community found through traveling and quiet journeys that take place off the beaten path — whether on boats, trains or dirt roads. Designed and engineered in Germany, RIMOWA has debuted an expansive line of aluminum luggage alongside its collaborations with photographers and filmmakers from across the globe.
