Official Look at the Air Jordan 13 "Obsidian"
UNC-esque hues take center stage on the classic Jordan model.
Fall is quickly encroaching, and as part of Jordan Brand‘s strategy for the leaf-changing season, it has a plethora of retro installments to thrust into the market. One of those makeups is the Air Jordan 13 “Obsidian” which has just been unveiled by way of official imagery.
The design execution for this particular rendition of the Tinker Hatfield-designed silhouette is more or less pretty straightforward. It’s the UNC-inspired hues that purloin all of the attention, the most prominent being it’s titular tone that drenches the premium leather tongues, the mudguards and the heels. Pockmarked leather side panels opt for a much brighter execution and arrive with clean white finishes. Offering a slight bit of contrast is the traditional “23” holograms that are situated at the ankles which appear as green or yellow depending on which angle you view them from.
Downstairs, the midsoles are evenly split between an “Obsidian” top layer and angelic panels. Surrounding the treading is a burst of “Dark Powder Blue” that slightly pokes out when viewing the shoes from a side angle.
Early reports have these scheduled to drop on August 14 for $190 USD via SNKRS and other retailers. If you don’t feel like waiting, pairs are also available now via GOAT.
