KANGHYUK and Reebok Go Big and Bold on Their New Premier Road Modern Mid
Boasting a new mid-cut collar and a familiar red and white color scheme used on past collaborations.
KANGHYUK and Reebok are back with their latest silhouette, a masterfully maximalist mid-cut sneaker dubbed the Premier Road Modern Mid. Essentially a high-top version of the popular KANGHYUK x Reebok Premier Road Modern “Car Part” from 2020, this new style offers bold details, thick, sculpted design lines and a crisp two-tone color scheme.
Uppers are split between airy white and vivid red, and feature a textured build that’s an abstract take on Reebok’s signature Vector logo. This experimentation with tone and texture reaches from the toebox to the heel, while a high-cut white collar offers bulbous padded details around the ankle and a KANGHYUK logo stamped on the heel. Below this sits a rubberized bumper, and red foam midsoles feature a soft EVA construction for comfort.
The shoe’s striking look will come as no surprise to its fans: apart from the above-mentioned “Car Part,” KANGHYUK and Reebok have also worked on everything from shoes constructed from leftover fabric to a Sole Fury that turned used airbags into footwear. KANGHYUK’s forthcoming FW21 collection also showcased several new silhouettes.
Interested parties will be able to pre-order the KANGHYUK x Reebok Premier Road Modern Mid on the KANGHYUK webstore in the coming weeks. A MSRP has yet to be announced.
