In the spirit of having a refreshingly perfect summer, Patrón is presenting a series of guides featuring cities across Canada, which will launch next month. Curated by some of the most notable voices in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto, the selection of thoughtfully chosen spots will tap into the best and burgeoning places in each location, and the voices who are fostering community and culture in their hometowns.

In addition to being experts on their city, at their core, these tastemakers share a lot in common with Patrón: their passion and dedication to their craft coupled with a commitment to excellence. For the brand, its steadfast dedication to a traditional and handmade process has resulted in creating premium tequila that’s made with only the highest quality ingredients, and free of any additives. Just like integrity is at the heart of Patrón — from the way the product is made to the ethos of the brand — these tastemakers set themselves apart with an unmatched confidence that has allowed them to pave their own paths through a singular vision and unrelenting passion.

Further honing in on the idea that the right passion yields perfect results, Patrón has applied this mindset to creating cocktails for enjoying the warmer months. In the same way that Patrón is fueled by the art of mastery when creating its premium tequila, the brand has created its cocktail recipes for peak enjoyment. Encouraging us all to savor the moments that matter, the purveyor has shared a series of these drinks to enjoy ahead of the release of its city guides. While the traditional idea of having a perfect summer can create a lot of stress, Patrón is reminding us that this season is about being relaxed and at ease through both its easy-to-follow recipes and the forthcoming guides.

Focusing on the Paloma, which has been named “The Official Cocktail of Summer” by The New York Times, the classic drink embodies the vibrant and playful elements of the season. The Patrón Paloma has a simple recipe that mixes 2 oz. of Patrón Reposado tequila with 1 oz. of grapefruit juice, 1/2 oz. of freshly-squeezed lime juice and 1/4 oz. of agave syrup. Add these ingredients to a highball glass with ice and stir before finishing the drink off with sparkling grapefruit soda. The cocktail can be garnished with a grapefruit slice and a pinch of salt or a salted rim. The straightforward recipe is a reminder that enjoying your summer doesn’t require you to overcomplicate things.

Enjoy the Patrón Paloma by following the steps above. Stay tuned to HYPEBEAST for the Patrón city guides featuring some of Canada’s most passionately masterful tastemakers. Head to the brand’s website for more cocktails and to learn about how it has mastered the art of tequila making.
