'Age of Empires IV' Has Finally Announced Its Release Date
Revealed in a new gameplay trailer from Xbox.
Almost four years since its original announcement, Xbox Game Studios has finally revealed the official release date for Age of Empires IV over at E3 2021.
Slated for release this October, the upcoming real-time strategy game will offer eight different civilizations to choose from, with 35 missions spanning four distinct campaigns and numerous crucial historical figures. It supports up to eight players in multiplayer mode as well as user-generated content tools to customize your gaming experience.
For first-time players and newcomers to the franchise, Age of Empires IV will also provide a comprehensive tutorial system and story mode in order to teach you the mechanics of the game and how to improve your skills. If you’re a diehard fan, there’s even a Digital Deluxe edition that includes bonus digital content such as the game’s official soundtrack, a Unit Counters Chart, artwork from digital painter Craig Mullins, and exclusive in-game content including a Coat of Arms, Player Profile and Monument.
Age of Empires IV will arrive on the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on October 28. Pre-orders are now open over on the game’s website.
