FC Barcelona and Nike have officially revealed their forthcoming 2021/2022 season home kit jerseys with a reimagined red and blue stripe layout.

The latest design continues to pay tribute to the 121-year-old football club’s time-tested values features a refreshed perspective of the Blaugrana identity that sees the 100 percent recycled jersey maintain its traditional stripe combination. The new design largely takes style notes from the FCB crest. Adjacent to the actual club logo, the Nike logo rests above the St. George’s Cross, which represents the patron saint of Catalonia. Behind the cross, the coat of arms and Catalan flag for the city of Barça is seen underlaying the design.

With this rendition of the home kit jersey, the details surrounding the back of the neck are inspired by the club’s Senyera heritage which is modified from red stripes over a yellow base. The jersey is paired with club shorts that come in a half garnet and half blue, as well as matching striped socks.

FC Barcelona Frenkie De Jong made a comment regarding the new kits, “The fans have taken me as their own since I joined and it’s amazing to see a jersey which captures the identity and values of such a wonderful club.”

The latest Barça 2021-2022 home kits are set to be available to Nike Members on June 16 with the full release hitting Nike on June 21.
