Nike Air Max Pre-Day Drops in Airy "Summit White"
A straightforward colorway that puts its retrofuturistic look on full display.
With a name inspired by the late, great Steve Prefontaine and a retrofuturistic design centered around circular principles, Nike‘s Air Max Pre-Day is equal parts past and present. After debuting on Air Max 2021, it’s now continuing its rollout with an airy new “Summit White” colorway.
Finely woven white mesh serves as the base on the forefoot and midfoot before giving way to a ripstop material on the heel. “Pure Platinum” tones then arrive on the overlays, namely the T-toe, eyestays, midfoot block and heel counter. Swooshes are constructed of white leather and fade into the heel, out of which juts a white pull tab.
Tongues are made of a ghostly gold semi-translucent mesh with white and gold detailing, bringing some futuristic flair to the look. EVA midsoles are centered around a fully exposed Air Max unit in the heel, and thin black rubber outsoles supply a raised lip in the rear to round off the look.
The Nike Air Max Pre-Day “Summit White” is available now via the Nike China webstore, and is priced at ¥999 CNY (approximately $152 USD) — inclusive of tax. It’ll likely release in the US soon as well.
