Raf Simons (RUNNER) Cylon-21 Model Features Interchangeable Metallic TPU Heel Pieces
Available now in “Grey” and “Black/Yellow” colorways.
In 2020, Raf Simons (RUNNER) family delivered a handful of silhouettes to the world including the Solaris, Antei, Cylon, Orion and 2001. This year, the in-house footwear division is looking to broaden its sneaker horizons with the introduction of the Cylon-21 — an updated sneaker version from the Cylon Boot that debuted last year.
The new lifestyle creation is low in profile, but owns a fairly bulky shape. Two colorways have been unveiled here including a “Grey” and a “Black/Yellow”, the latter of which is mostly formed with a sultry suede and mesh upper, while the latter opts to go with smooth leather and suede constructions. Details on the base layer include the various perforated points that land along the toe boxes, mid-foot and heels, in addition to the slightly bulbous jewels that attach to the forefoot and near the ankle.
Another significant element of these kicks is the metallic TPU heel piece that slightly protrudes out from the rear. This spoiler-like component is also interchangeable.
Underneath, the midsoles are carved with curvy design lines towards the back end and feature a duo of Raf Simons branded hits that are spelled out diagonally.
Those interested in copping can now find these available through Asphalt Gold for a handsome €450 (approx. $534 USD) a pop.
Previously, Raf Simons unveiled his debut Prada menswear collection.
