Nike and Skepta Officially Reveal Butterfly Wing-Inspired SK Air Max Tailwind V
Recalling previous collaborations, career highlights and the artist’s evolution.
After the arrival of a recent teaser, Nike and Skepta have come together to officially reveal their latest collaborative sneaker. The all-new SK Air Max Tailwind V mixes the silhouette’s early 2000s futuristic aesthetic — complete with a striking heel counter and chrome Swooshes — with an eye-catching colorway.
The sneaker’s color theme, which features an iridescent blue design inspired by a butterfly’s wing, is intended as a nod to once the continual process of adaptation. Other features of the shoe recall elements of Skepta’s career and collaborations with Nike, including the chrome Swooshes in reference to the SK Shox, while a thermographic heel counter in tribute to Skepta’s Ignorance Is Bliss album cover.
