Skepta Reveals Second Colorway of His Nike Air Max Tailwind V Collaboration
Dressed in a bold blue, black and purple print.

Skepta has taken to his Instagram Stories to reveal a second colorway of his Nike Air Max Tailwind V collaboration. A cool-toned yang to the yin of an orange/black pair that was revealed in January, this new Tailwind features rich prints and bold detailing, giving off a retro-futuristic turn of the century look.
The upper’s base features a digitally printed pattern that mixes bright blue with black and a dash of dark purple. A black TPU exoskeleton wraps around the forefoot and midfoot, working with a black rubber toe cap to add rugged texture. Iridescent purple-to-blue material coveers the entirety of the heel while also appearing on the tongue and around the collar. Midfoot Swooshes are done up in chrome, as is the heel clip — which drops down into the black EVA foam midsole. Heel and forefoot Air Max units round off the look.
Along with its fiery above-mentioned counterpart, this Air Max Tailwind V marks Skepta’s fifth official Nike Sportswear collaboration after 2017’s Air Max 97 Ultra, 2018’s Air Max 97 BW and Air Max Deluxe and 2019’s Shox TL. Skepta and Nike also worked together on an Air Max BW “Blacklisted” in 2016, but that style was more PE than an officially-minted collaboration.
A date of release for the Skepta x Nike Air Max Tailwind V has yet to be announced, but it’s likely to arrive this spring or summer.
