'Dungeons & Dragons' Brings on Hugh Grant as Film's Villain
Sophia Lillis is also joining the project.

Hugh Grant and Sophia Lillis have now both been cast in the upcoming film adaptation of Wizards of the Coast‘s hit tabletop roleplaying game Dungeons & Dragons.
While Grant has been tapped to playing the movie’s villain, there’s currently no information yet regarding Lillis’ role. The duo will be joined on the cast by Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith and Rege-Jean Page, while Spider-Man: Homecoming co-writers and Game Night directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley will be writing and directing the new project. As for the film itself, news on its plot remains scarce, although the team has called it “a subversive approach to the game.”
On top of a movie adaptation of the popular RPG, there’s also television series currently under development, which was announced earlier this year. This particular version has brought on Derek Kolstad to pen the script, after he previously wrote for the John Wick franchise.
Elsewhere in entertainment, Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Jupiter’s Legacy.
