Tokyo Disneyland Drops Its Iconic "Ladies and Gentlemen" Greeting
A push for inclusivity.

Tokyo Disneyland, operated by Oriental Land Co., has decided to change its iconic greeting in an act to be more inclusive to its guests in Japan.
Replacing both its “ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls” English intro at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will now just be “hello, everyone.” On top of the guest greeting, all wording in main attractions has also been changed to be gender-neutral.
This move takes place after JAL’s action last October in halting its “Ladies and Gentlemen” greeting at airports along with a “pants” uniform change across all employees.
