adidas Declares Lionel Messi's GOAT Status With NEMEZIZ "Rey del Balon"
Celebrating yet another record-breaking season for the Barcelona legend.
adidas Football has launched a new version of its NEMEZIZ boot silhouette celebrating Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. Dubbed the NEMEZIZ MESSI.1 “Rey del Balon” — which translates to “King of the Ball” — the boots pay tribute to Messi’s status in the game and his record-breaking run which recently saw him become the highest goalscorer for a single club and break Barcelona’s appearance record.
The special-edition boot features a number of personalized details for Messi, including a gold crown logo and Messi’s signature logo on the medial side. Elsewhere, the boot is adorned with an eye-catching pattern featuring “Solar Red,” “Core Black” and “Solar Yellow.” Technical details include a V-shaped tension tape collar, a split outsole and the use of TORSION SYSTEM technology.
The NEMEZIZ MESSI.1 “Rey del Balon” boots are available now from the adidas web store, and have been worn by Messi himself in recent weeks.
