Aleali May Brings Her Singular Style to the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT
The AJ1 queen adds striking satin and a unique ultra-high collar to the popular model.

Stylist and model Aleali May is well-versed in the ways of Jordan Brand‘s Air Jordan 1: she crafted a corduroy-and-chenelle-coated “Shadow” colorway in 2017 and a bright “Viotech”-like makeup with a detachable fur tongue in 2018. After moving her attention to the Air Jordan 6 “Millennial Pink” in 2019, May is back with a new take on the popular Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT for 2021. An undeniably fitting collaboration, May’s CMFT shows her keen eye for elevated sportswear and unique design twists, all wrapped up in a bold color scheme.
Uppers mix a sporty blue midfoot, collar flaps and mudguard with rich green toeboxes and heels. All these pieces are constructed from simple, supple leather, but May’s flair for the dramatic shines through on the cut-out Swoosh and elevated collar — both of which are constructed from a shimmering satin. Sail-colored chenille is used on the collar flaps’ ball-and-wings logo, and May’s signature appears on the left shoe’s heel.
This thin, tall collar is contrasted with a light tan leather tongue and a special lace keeper with an “A” logo. Insoles feature a small diagram that nods to the Zoom Air bag embedded in the heel, midsoles are done up in sail to match the tongue and collar logo, and green/yellow outsoles round off the look.
An official release date for the Aleali May x Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT has yet to be revealed, but it’ll likely hit retailers later this year.
