Exclusive Dye Treatments Inform Stone Island Shadow Project's Muted FW20 Collection
The indigo- and black-dyed collection is packed with technical textiles and dynamic shapes.

Stone Island‘s Errolson Hugh-directed Shadow Project imprint has prepped a low-key Fall/Winter 2020 collection informed by understated neutral tones. Even still, pops of bright color and rich texture inform much the offering, underscoring its technological advancements.
Weatherproof GORE-TEX Paclite is reintroduced to Shadow Project this season, along with leather — hardly recognizable given its indigo dye and Dyneema bonding. This dye treatment, also realized in black, is exclusive to Shadow Project and infuses a variety of poplin, corduroy, moleskin and rubberized linen garments with dynamic, uneven sheen.
Another innovation: the Pass-Through Enclosure System, wherein interior layers feature partially detached pockets that are able to “pass through” and lock onto outerwear by way of velcro strips. Of course, there’s a bevy of classic Shadow Project silhouettes also on hand, ranging from convertible parkas to Primaloft-lined knitwear to an assortment of graphic base layers and even a bespoke set of chelsea boots crafted by Diemme.
The FW20 collection hits Stone Island’s website and stockists like END. within the coming weeks.
High-tech fabrication also informs the cold weather looks proffered by Taiwanese brand Wisdom.
