LA-based brand Free & Easy has brought its signature light-hearted spirit to the world of footwear, linking with Vault By Vans for a California-centric collaboration made up of two Sk8-His plus new takes on the Old Skool and Era. With sunrise/sunset color schemes and vibrant graphics, all four sneakers are ideal for the transitional period between seasons — or, if you’re on the West Coast, the never-ending summer.

Arriving in “Marshmallow” and “Dress Blues,” each Sk8-Hi is based around an embroidered “Don’t Trip” graphic on its lateral collar. The former uses a yellow base with a cream toebox and accents, while the latter looks to a white base with navy toeboxes, throats and accents. Elsewhere, the Old Skool and Era follow a similar sunrise/sunset yin and yang of colors, taking on either navy blue or cream tones for a day and night look. Unity is provided by a repeating yin and yang logo with a cool-toned gradient fade that’s swathed across each shoe’s quarter. Collaborative apparel is present as well.

The Free & Easy x Vault By Vans collection is set to release September 4 via the Vans webstore and retailers like Feature. MSRPs range between $90-100 USD.

Elsewhere in the world of footwear, adidas Originals has reissued the City Series “Köln” in a classic colorway.
