Polo G Returns With New "Epidemic" Visual
His first single since his sophomore album ‘The GOAT’ released earlier this year.
Polo G has had an incredible year. The work he put in on his sophomore album The GOAT turned the Chicago rapper into a bonafide star as it debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 behind only Future’s High Off Life. Today Polo G returns with his latest single and music video, “Epidemic” produced by Tahj Money, DMAC, Londn Blu and Karltin Bankz.
“Epidemic” is also the first commercial single release since the The GOAT and features a visual directed by Ryan Lynch that follows Polo G to Miami. “I’m so sick of farewells and RIPs/ In the trenches yellin’, “Gang gang,” mob ties what I bleed/ Don’t claim to be an opp, ’cause n*ggas die from that disease/ He gon’ let that 9 blow with ease,” he raps.
Back in May, Polo G continued to drop gems. First he released his Scottie Pippen inspired “33” music video, and then the rapper delivered his “Wishing For A Hero” single and music video, a powerful statement on oppression that sampled Tupac’s “Changes.” In June he collaborated with Cole Bennett and Lyrical Lemonade for the surreal “21” visual but perhaps his best to date has been the recreation of the 90s sitcom Martin for “Martin & Gina”.
