Polo G Shares Politically Charged "Wishing For A Hero" Music Video
A track taken from his latest album, ‘The GOAT.’
Polo G has dropped off an accompanying music video for “Wishing For A Hero,” a BJ The Chicago Kid-assisted track off his sophomore album The GOAT. Directed by DrewFilmedIt, the politically charged visual reflects the Chicago rapper’s message of African-American oppression, highlighting Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr. over a sample of Tupac‘s “Changes.”
“Wishing For A Hero” arrives just a few days after the music video for “33” where Polo G pays homage to Chicago Bulls legend, Scottie Pippen. The GOAT is projected to open at No. 2 on next week’s Billboard 200 chart, moving an estimated 85,000-95,000 total units, with 15,000-18,000 of those coming from pure album sales.
