After months of speculation and anticipation, Nike SB‘s Dunk High “Doraemon” is finally set for an official release. Drawing its hues directly from the beloved time-traveling cat that’s been a Japanese pop culture mainstay for six decades, the “Doraemon” is one of the Nike skate subdivision’s most anticipated in-line releases of 2020 — serving as exemplary fan service to a tremendously influential anime and manga.

As Doraemon has long been portrayed in white, blue and red, his SB Dunk follows suit. Toeboxes, quarters and collars are constructed of white tumbled leather, with overlays, collar flaps and eyestays taking on blue suede. Swooshes, collar trim and laces are done up in bright red, and the white mesh tongue features golden lace keepers and tags, a nod to the signature bell on the robotic cat’s collar. Down below, white midsoles and blue outsoles round off the look.

As is par for the course with Nike SB’s Orange Label releases, the Dunk High “Doraemon” will see a limited, staggered rollout over the course of September at skate shops like Sparky Store. The MSRP has yet to be announced.
