COMME des GARÇONS PLAY's "FAMILY GUYS" Collection Delivers Double Heart Logos

COMME des GARÇONS PLAY‘s seasonal offerings are nothing if not consistent; the lighthearted sub-label often issues slightly different iterations of its signature shirts, hoodies and cardigans each season, without greatly altering the unmistakable Filip Pągowski-designed heart logo. CDG PLAY’s latest range, “FAMILY GUYS,” delivers a gently tweaked variation of the heart, doubling up on the adorable artwork as if to reflect familial bonding.

French creative Jean Jacques N’djoli highlights the new collection in a stylized editorial, appropriately recruiting his own siblings to help model the goods. Neutral-toned T-shirts, hoodies and cardigans are emblazoned with the new doubled-up heart patch, spotlighted in a variety of colorful settings. Though all of the items are effortlessly versatile, there are some play-ful twists, including a new shirt design printed with inverted PLAY branding.

“I created these pictures [with] my sister and brothers, Julia, Jean-Luc, Jean-Paul & Jean-Philippe,” N’djoli explained in a statement. “Inspired by our family spirit and pieces of my daily life, I played with shapes and colours, the art of design and architecture.”

The new CDG PLAY wares are available at global Dover Street Market stores, COMME des GARÇONS outposts and stockists like END. Clothing.

Most recently, CDG Play partnered with The North Face for a Japan-only collaboration.
