'Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit' Blends Physical Karts and Digital Gameplay
A groundbreaking mixed reality experience for the Nintendo Switch.
Looking to create a groundbreaking mixed reality Mario Kart experience Nintendo has partnered up with Velan Studios to create Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit. The new title for the Nintendo Switch console builds on augmented reality technology by combining a camera-enabled physical and course gate markers to turn any living space into the next great circuit. The Home Circuit allows players to design and construct courses to create a new immersive way to play.
“We are thrilled to partner with Velan Studios for Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit,” said Tom Prata, Nintendo of America’s Executive Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. “Through this collaboration, we are providing fans with a one-of-a-kind, interactive experience that is only available on the Nintendo Switch family of systems.”
