Oasis to Release 25th-Anniversary Vinyl Reissue of '(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?'
The seminal album that featured tracks like “Wonderwall” and “Champagne Supernova.”
Despite their split and the never-ending feud of the Gallagher brothers, Oasis will be celebrating the 25th-anniversary of their seminal album (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? with a special vinyl reissue.
The limited-edition vinyl reissue will see the album fully remastered and pressed as two silver-colored LPs and a picture disc on heavyweight vinyl. “Both new and original Oasis content from that era will be made available” during the lead-up to its October release, and fans are urged to follow the #MorningGlory25 hashtag to catch the news.
(What’s the Story) Morning Glory? was released in 1995 and is the Britpop band’s sophomore album following Definitely Maybe. The 12-track album is the group’s most commercially successful album up to date — peaking at No. 4 on the US Billboard 200 and winning them Best British Album at the 1996 Brit Awards — and features their most iconic cuts including “Wonderwall,” “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” “Some Might Say” and “Champagne Supernova.”
The 25th-anniversary vinyl reissue of (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? drops October 2 via Big Brother Recordings.
Elsewhere in music, Beastie Boys is set to release a new Greatest Hits album.
