Kevin Parker Introduces the "Tame Impala Soundsystem" During NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert Set

Kevin Parker graced the NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert series for the first time ever, performing cuts from the latest Tame Impala album, The Slow Rush.
Joined by frequent collaborators and touring members Dom Simper and Jay Watson (also of Pond), the trio crafted a three-song setlist comprised of “Breathe Deeper,” “Is It True” and “Patience.” The performance sees the group as a unit that Parker calls the “Tame Impala Soundsystem,” and hears them recreating the tracks with samplers, sequencers and minimal live instruments. “I’ve wanted to do something like this for a while and thought Tiny Desk would be the opportunity to do it,” Parker told producer Bobby Carter.
