Take an On-Foot Look at the J Balvin x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG
The artist delivers bright gradients, jagged cuts and frayed edges.
Nike has tapped J Balvin for a vibrant take on its Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. The result is a colorway that boasts gradients with unmissably bright hues that mirrors the artist’s personal style.
Courtesy of @REPGOD888, we now have an on-foot look at the boisterous collaboration. Much of the shoe has been treated with vivid canvas uppers, detailed with cut-outs and frayed edges that add a great deal of texture to the silhouette. J Balvin’s smiley face motif is placed at the top of the shoe, woven over a pastel pink tongue that comes with semi-exposed foam. Smooth black leather appears along the edge of the upper collars, complemented by intricate leather embellishments that frame the main Swoosh at the sidewalls. “Air Jordan” branding is stamped at the quarters, below which a Jumpman patch logo appears directly below. Other details like black laces, frayed panels along the toebox and a light pink midsole round off the shoe’s exuberant design.
A release date for the J Balvin x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG has yet to be confirmed.
