The performance introduced a notable lyrical change on ErrTime replacing a prior shout-out to Latto with Kelly Rowland

NPR has officially premiered Cardi B‘s debut performance on its celebrated Tiny Desk Concert series. The Bronx rapper delivered a high-energy, eight-song showcase featuring deliberate lyrical tweaks to some of her most recognized records.
Premiering on Monday, October 19, the set bridged fan favorites from her 2018 debut Invasion of Privacy—including “Be Careful,” “Bodak Yellow,” and “I Like It”—with tracks from her 2025 sophomore project Am I The Drama?, such as “Hello,” “ErrTime,” “Up,” and “Man of Your Word,” alongside her latest single, “Ah Ha.”
During her performance of “ErrTime,” Cardi drew attention by swapping out the track’s original lyric referencing Latto in favor of Kelly Rowland. Cardi delivered the line, “Bad brown bitch, she look like Kelly in this muthafka,” replacing the original studio bar, “Bad yellow bitch, she look like Latto in this muthafka!” The adjustment follows a 2025 dispute between the two artists, which Latto later addressed on her 2026 track “Gimmie Dat.”
Cardi also took aim at past relationships during “Be Careful,” altering the original lyric “And karma for you gon’ be who you end up with!” to “And karma for you? Well, you see it!”—nodding to her 2024 split from husband Offset and her subsequent breakup with NFL player Stefon Diggs in February 2026.
