7-Eleven is moving from the snack aisle to the mahjong table with the 7-Eleven x Bam Bird Boutique Mahjong Tile Set, a 7Collection exclusive that recasts the store’s most recognizable products, colors and symbols as playable tiles. The result sits somewhere between a collector’s object and a fully functional game set, with every design built to stay legible once the tiles hit the table.
The appeal starts with familiarity. Rather than relying on traditional tile motifs alone, the artwork pulls from 7-Eleven’s shelves and branding, translating everyday products and nostalgic references into small-scale illustrations that regulars will spot instantly. The challenge, and the point, is balancing that recognition with readability, so each suit still functions as it should during play.
That artwork is painted by hand onto tiles made from three layers of acrylic, each measuring 32mm x 23mm x 13mm. The backs keep the brand front and center, carrying 7-Eleven’s signature stripes along with a gold-etched logo, so even a face-down wall reads as unmistakably 7-Eleven.
Underneath the branding, the set is built for serious play. Its 160 tiles break down into 36 bams, 36 craks and 36 dots, joined by 8 flowers, 16 winds, 12 dragons, 10 jokers and 6 blanks. Removing 2 jokers and the 6 blanks brings the set in line with National Mah Jongg League standards.
The accessories carry the theme through.
