Listen to Four Tet's Dreamy Remix of Tame Impala's "Is It True"
Kieran Hebden’s take on the psych-pop single.
Earlier this month, Tame Impala shared technicolor visuals for “Is It True,” a cut from Kevin Parker’s latest studio album The Slow Rush. Now, DJ and producer Four Tet has presented his dreamy take on the upbeat track, transforming the psych-pop song into an ambient and discordant remix.
The track opens with lengthy ethereal-sounding instrumentals, contrasting with the original track’s punchy intro. The music continues on for over a minute before Parker’s vocals, which take on a far-away quality, enter. Last month, Parker himself dropped a remix for the first time in four years, giving 070 Shake’s Guilty Conscience his own take. Tame Impala’s fourth studio album The Slow Rush released back in February and follows Currents from 2015.
